Denim

This card was inspired by a class I did last year. I find making men's cards hard to do. So when my husband asked for a Thank You note for a friend of ours, I had to do some thinking. So if making men's cards aren't hard enough, this man is a professional Artist. Who I had as a teacher back in college. No Pressure. Oh well I thought it came out cute and I think he will like it. Not nessarrily my most artsy card but it is done. And lets face it DONE IS GOOD!

Asian Thank You

OK, its more of an "Asian feel". But what I want to point out SU's new Wild Wasbi color paper, I love this color! It goes with just about any color. I will have to stock up this one before they retire it, next year.

Thanks & Congrats

Here is a front and inside view of an Opening Night card I made for a student

who was working wardrobe for me. She happens to have a slight shoe obsession.

Creative Corners

This Is a card I made for my Mother-in-Law's Birthday back in january. I used some of the corner punches I got for Christmas. Obviously I used one corner punch on the outside blue frame. The inner section uses two different corner punches on each corner to make a bigger decoratve pattern. Also the corners on either side of the flower have just been flipped inside of themselves for a little differnet effect.

The Big Blank

Sorry for the lack of Postings. I have been in what I refer to as a Creative Drought. In which I sit at my craft area, with no inspiration what so ever. Just Blank Paper. I barely got out the cards I needed to make on time. So the next few posts will give you an idea of what I have been up to and I will try to be better about getting new post out.

Why don't I buy Christmas Cards?

I look forward to mailing my Christmas cards every year, however doing them does not always bring up the same feelings. After about the first 20, I ask myself "why don't I just buy them?" Probably because in some sadistic way, I enjoy doing them. So here are my Christmas 2006 crerations including the Thank You notes that got mailed out yesterday. The Holidays are OFFICIALLY over, YIPEE. Welcome 2007.

Babies Babies Babies

I have been stamping for about two and a half years and I have never had to make a Baby card for anyone. Until this month I had two back to back. Convient that they were both for baby boys. Of coarse I kick myself for never purchasing those adorable baby stamps that I have seen over the last 2.5 years. I have never had the need for them, OK until now. So here is what I came up with.

Cowboy or Cowgirl?

What do you do when you have a cute stamp set that is one gender?

You change it.
By coloring on the stamp by hand and omiting certain parts, which you draw new parts in afterward.

Viola you now have a non gender specific stamp set.
OK it takes alittle work, but overall most sucessful.
